- Chat logs: the content of your Sessions, timestamps, and session/matching metadata.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Payment data: handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
2. How We Use This Information
- To operate matching and messaging between users.
- To investigate reports, enforce our Terms of Service, and detect abuse, fraud, or illegal content.
- To respond to valid legal requests from law enforcement.
- To maintain and improve the Service, including troubleshooting technical issues.
3. Anonymity Between Users
Other users you chat with only ever see your display handle. They do not see your real name, email address, IP address, or exact location. This anonymity applies user-to-user only — FrequencyChat itself retains identifying information as described in this policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain chat logs and IP address records for a limited period to support safety investigations and legal obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized, except where longer retention is required by law or an active investigation.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: (a) service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, payments, moderation tooling), (b) law enforcement or regulators when legally required, and (c) child-safety organizations such as NCMEC when required by law in cases involving suspected exploitation of a minor.
